George’s (Ellen Muth) reap is a female soldier afraid of climbing a wall. But she makes it to the top in triumph, falls and dies. Mason (Callum Blue) and Daisy (Laura Harris) are trying to keep their story straight about killing Ray. Mason can’t remember well enough to lie. George’s sister Reggie (Britt McKillup) and her Dad (Greg Kean) are at the Waffle Haus having pancakes. Rube says hello to them and moves the reapers to a more distant table. George joins them and they all get post-it notes. Roxie (Jasmine Guy) gets a handful of them and Mason gets a purple one. He thinks that means it’s his last reap and he’ll have to move on to his final reward, just after murdering a man.
At Happy Time, another employee named Brian (Elias Toufexis) is leaving and they have a party. George catches him stealing money from Delores’s (Christine Willes) purse, beats the crap out of him and throws him out. Mason is with Roxie where a crowd of football fans are boarding a bus. The driver is getting stoned. Roxie reaps them all with Mason and they leave by the back door. Reggie is home alone. The neighbour Claire (Patti Allen) drops by. The dog, J.D., is eating a lot of chocolate ice cream and later he throws up on the rug. Then he leaves by the unlatched gate.
Mason asks the waitress Kiffany (Patricia Idlette) to read his palm because he thinks he’s about to leave this world. She tells him that on one’s last day on Earth, one sees a crescent moon. He finds one on a donut plate. Roxie shows up at Daisy’s apartment, finds a blood stain, and is suspicious. Ray has been reported missing. Mason is at a yard sale and sells a big honking scythe to a grim woman. The actual owner of the house shows up and calls the police on Mason. He turns up at Happy Time. He wants to have a better last day on Earth than George did, who just filed all day. He gets very sentimental with George, and she decides to check up on her family. Mason goes to Daisy’s apartment and she tells him Roxy is suspicious. Mason proposes to Daisy and gives her a ring. She is the only good thing in his world.
Reggie is out looking for J.D. and George trails her. She sees the young animal-reaper (Spencer Achtymichuk) in the neighborhood and tries to shoo him away, but he says it’s too late. J.D. trots off with him. George goes to Daisy’s apartment and sees the Ray Graveling lurking outside. Daisy tells her what they did. Mason meets a man (Jonathan Sutton) cooking fish by a river and chats with him. He asks what the man would like to do on his last day and he says he’d like to go fishing and take a swim, which is what he intends to do. Mason shows him the note and tells him he is going to die tonight. Mason strips off and goes swimming with him and they are both struck by lightning. Mason doesn’t pass on but turns up at the Waffle Haus as Roxie is telling Rube that Ray is presumed dead, which is good news as far as Rube is concerned. Mason demands to know why he got a purple post-it note and Rube says he ran out of yellow, then he gives everybody a purple note. Daisy puts on the ring and George gives her frog to Reggie.
