George as a child (Talia Ranger) didn’t care about the candy on Halloween; she just like looking into people’s homes. Now that she’s dead (Ellen Muth), Halloween impresses her even less. At the Waffle Haus, George and Daisy (Lauren Harris) give Mason (Collum Blue) the gears about not contributing to the apartment, so he tricks some kids into giving him their Halloween candy. Rube (Many Patinkin) passes out post-it notes. The legend is that Reapers on Halloween can be recognized by those who knew them in life. George is given a mask to wear. Roxie (Jasmine Guy) shows up in a ball-gown with a gun strapped to her ankle. She’s undercover as the Bad-Ass Witch of the Northwest.
George’s Mom (Cynthia Stevenson) and sister Reggie (Britt McKillup) are carving a pumpkin. Reggie is not exactly in the spirit of the holiday, as she wants to go as a ghost, because ghosts look just like people. George goes to Happy Time to get her running shoes as there will be a lot of walking. They see the weird receptionist Crystal (Crystal Dahl) dressed as the Grim Reaper. She has primary candy zones highlighted on her computer.
Mom and Reggie are at the shrink’s (Anne Marie DeLuise) office talking about George. Mom says Reggie thinks George is a ghost, but Reggie denies it. Rube goes to his reap, talking to a woman at her door. As soon as he leaves, a serial killer in white sneakers arrives and kills the woman. Back at the Waffle Haus, Daisy is dressed as a cop and wants to borrow Roxie’s gun. Roxie is amused. An old man keeps staring at Daisy and says he knows her as Daisy Adair. He saw her in Gone with the Wind and she is very beautiful. She goes to reap a woman named Katie Clark (Sheelah Megill) and reaps her at the door. As soon as she leaves, the serial killer shows up, whistling. A neighbor shows up with Day of the Dead skull candies for Reggie and tells her about the holiday.
George and Mason are trick or treating. Roxie reaps a man at his door. Mason reaps a child and George sees the killer go in afterwards. She remembers, as a child on Halloween, seeing a man (Paul Jarrett) in white tennis shoes answering the door. She peered inside and saw a Graveling creeping about. She goes to that house and the same man, older now, answers the door. She reaps him and walks away. Reggie and her Mom spend the night cuddling on George’s grave all night. Gravelings fight over candy at the Waffle Haus. Rube goes to his wife’s and daughter’s graves. Mom and Reggie are still sleeping on George’s grave and George watches them. As she is leaving, Reggie wakes up and George turns so Reggie can see her. This episode was directed by James Whitmore Jr., and was the last of the series. It was not considered one of the best and might well have been rushed, but was still a nice finish to several subplots.
