Ivanova (Claudia Christian) finds Sheridan (Bruce Boxleitner) thinking in the now-empty War Room. He wonders what happened to his father. In customs, Security has stopped some people to inspect their luggage. An argument ensues and it turns out the luggage is cameras belonging to ISN reporters.
Doctor Franklin (Richard Biggs) needs help shuffling the Shadows’ telepaths because of problems with the cryogenic tubes. Sheridan is interviewed by ISN reporter Dan Randall (Jeff Griggs) and insists the station has an open-door policy, but ISN is now a propaganda mouthpiece. Randall says some truth is better than none.
Garibaldi is starting his finder business, tracking down people and objects lost in the war. A man claiming to have lost a sacred statue is clearly lying about Centauri and Drazi beliefs. Garibaldi talks with Lennier, who asks him why he left Security. They chat. Sheridan arrives with Randall and asks Lennier to show Randall around. He leaves without speaking to Garibaldi, who suddenly remembers something about his captivity.
Randall asks Lennier about the damaged ships and learns about Downbelow. Franklin goes by, talking about cryogenic chambers. Mollari has an argument with Sheridan. Randall interviews Delenn and Sheridan and Babylon Five’s independence, and about their belief that President Clark is responsible for the former President’s death. Randall tries to get an interview with Garibaldi. Ivanova, Delenn, and Sheridan watch the ISN report. Of course, it is a total hatchet-job on Babylon Five, which is portrayed as pro-Alien, anti-Earth, is putting innocent people in cryo-storage, etc.
The “Report by the Committee on Anti-Earth Activities” mentions several names. All have the same surnames as people involved in the US House Committee on un-American Activities in 1941. The Minbari War Syndrome is quoted as relating to the Helsinki Syndrome. The speaker means the Stockholm Syndrome, pointing out that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. One of the names on a cryo-chamber is John C. Flinn, cinematographer for Babylon Five. The episode was directed by Stephen Furst.
