This is the first episode of Season Three: Point of No Return. The Damage from the bomb that almost killed Sheridan (Bruce Boxleitner) is being repaired. Sheridan meets Kosh (voice of Ardwight Chamberlain) and asks him why he saved him at the risk of revealing himself and is told it was necessary. A Drazi ship helps someone escape from a blockaded planet and head for Babylon Five.

Sheridan and Ivanova (Claudia Christian) are waiting for the arrival of David Endawi (Tucker Smallwood) of Earthforce Special Intelligence. Garibaldi (Jerry Doyle) brings an unconscious man to Medlab, who promptly disappears. Londo Mollari (Peter Jurasik) meets Morden (Ed Wasser) in the Zocalo to tell him they are through. They agree to meet later in Londo’s quarters. Delenn (Mira Furlan) attends the meeting of Sheridan and Ivanova with Endawi. Endawi shows them the last recording of Warren Keffer’s Starfury, which was destroyed by a Shadow vessel. The ESI is concerned. Delenn does not lie; she says this is the first time she has seen such a ship, but later tells Sheridan that it is definitely a Shadow vessel.

Lennier (Bill Mumy) informs Delenn about the man who disappeared from Medlab and she goes to meet him. Endawi meets with Londo and shows him the Shadow vessel, which Londo has seen in a dream. He is disturbed by that memory. Lennier and Delenn meet their contact in Downbelow. His name is Marcus Cole (Jason Carter) and he is asking for Delenn’s help. When they leave the bar and are attacked, Marcus defends them with a Minbari fighting pike. They meet later with Sheridan, Garibaldi (Jerry Doyle), and Ivanova. Marcus is a Ranger and asks Sheridan to break the Drazi blockade on the Ranger training facility on Zagros VII so the Rangers can escape. Garibaldi protests that they would need a warship and Marcus thinks there is a way. Sheridan leaves Garibaldi behind to keep the nosy Endawi busy while he helps the Rangers, leaving on a Minbari Flyer.

Morden shows Londo a galactic map which indicates all the territory the Centauri can get with his help, and Londo agrees to maintain the relationship. All Morden wants is for Lord Refa to help capture a small world on the edge of Centauri space. Londo asks Morden if he can see one of his ships. Morden brushes him off but wants the blockade of Zagros VII intact and the Centauri gone from the area.

Marcus shows Ivanova and the others the White Star and gives Sheridan command. Endawi is upset Sheridan is not available to him. Garibaldi suggests he talk secretly with G’Kar (Andreas Katsulas). Sheridan tours the White Star, which is a hybrid of Minbari and Vorlon technology. It is staffed by Minbari religious caste, not warrior caste. The ship sets out for Zagros VII. Endawi shows G’Kar the Shadow ship and G’Kar recognizes it, from the Narn records a thousand years ago. The White Star arrives at the blockade and Sheridan is suspicious that the Centauri have left. They spot a Shadow ship near the planet’s rings.

The White Star evades but keeps the Shadow ship’s attention while the Rangers escape the planet. They leave via a jump-gate because Sheridan wants to keep the fact that the White Star can create its own gate secret for a while. The Shadow ship pursues them into hyperspace. Sheridan, frightening everybody else, opens a jump-gate within the jump-gate, and the pursuing Shadow ship is destroyed.

Back at Babylon Five, they concoct a story for Endawi. On Earth later, Endawi reports to a female Senator that no-one knows anything about the Shadow ship except in ancient myths. After he leaves, Morden and a psi-cop walk in. On Babylon Five, Sheridan calls a war-council with Ivanova, Garibaldi, Delenn, Marcus and Doctor Franklin (Richard Biggs), who feels out of the loop and wants to know about the Shadow Ships. Delenn begins to explain.

Jason Carter, afraid that he would have to wear a Star-Trek-like spandex outfit, loved his Ranger garb, saying he could play Hamlet in it. His fighting-pike was apparently a gift from Jeffrey Sinclair. The White Star is gorgeous. The Minbari ship that Sheridan destroyed back in the war was the Black Star. Opening a jump-gate within a jump-gate is called the Bonehead Maneuver.
